For Meeting Today's Youth Right Where They Are
Popular youth culture (i.e. music, advertising, movies, television) has
a profound influence on the way students think, act, spend their resources,
and relate to their peers, teachers, families and environment.
In order for us as parents and educators to maximize our relationships with young people, and effectively communicate with them across that natural, generational "cultural divide," we must learn to understand and interpret the language and environment of today's popular youth culture. Then we can meet young people "right where they are,” in the midst of their own culture.
These web sites represent a diverse approach to entering the world of today’s youth. We hope they you to enter the world of young people and impact their lives as they strive toward adulthood.
