American Center for Character and Cultural Education
CultureSmack is an outcome-measured, in-school character education program featuring curriculums that use today's powerfully influential popular youth culture in order to engage students "right where they are". The objective is to teach students to make more informed life decisions and prevent destructive life decisions by enhancing their critical thinking, communication and interpersonal relationship skills.

Students will:

  • Learn to objectively EVALUATE popular youth culture and its impact on them and their decision-making.
  • Hear a clear message about authority and the necessity for RULES, LAWS AND STANDARDS.
  • See and understand the difference between personal freedom and absolute autonomy.
  • Understand what is required to model the true CHARACTER qualities of INTEGRITY, RESPECT and PERSEVERANCE.
  • Discover how to develop a more positive attitude; a healthier self-image; resist negative peer pressure and prevent destructive life decisions.
  • Hear both WHY and HOW to resist drugs and alcohol.
  • Learn to ENCOURAGE each other to RESPECT one another.
